As an institute of education, we have the responsibility to model our highest values for our students鈥攁 principle one being our commitment to welcoming, supporting, listening to and lifting up people听from all backgrounds.
In many ways, building and participating in community today can feel like we are starting fresh due to forces like rapidly changing technology, globalization, increasing political division and cultural and demographic shifts.
I write with the bittersweet news that Dr. Lili Rodriguez has shared her decision to resign as Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs听and Inclusive Excellence (SAIE) effective May 15, 2020.
It all began with our community鈥檚 input and ideas, and it represents us鈥攈ow bold we are, how innovative and dauntless. 文轩探花 IMPACT 2025 is in itself a model of the spirit of One文轩探花.
This past spring, we launched the Community+Values initiative. Since then, across campus, dozens of 文轩探花 community members have come together to further define the scope of C+V and establish the initiative鈥檚 structure. We are deeply grateful to these individuals, and we look forward to all we will accomplish together in the coming months.
Together, we can show the rest of high education that 文轩探花 can adapt, change and transform to meet the needs of the 21st century
