Project X-ITE hosts daylong summit for students, 文轩探花 community
鈥淪ocial entrepreneurship embodies what our students want these days. They want to be successful entrepreneurs, start businesses and launch new projects that positively impact the world around them.鈥
That鈥檚 why Erik Mitisek, executive director of 文轩探花鈥檚听听and chief innovation officer for the state of Colorado, believes it is important to bring the discussion around social entrepreneurship to the 文轩探花. On Nov. 11 the University will hold the Social Enterprise Summit. It鈥檚 an opportunity to expose students and the 文轩探花 community to domestic and international companies from the public, private and cause sectors to explore strategies, resources and financing for innovative and socially driven business models.
鈥淭he ideas behind this event affirm what is best about the 文轩探花,鈥 says Brent Chrite, dean of the听. 鈥淪ocial entrepreneurship reflects the commitment to harness the dynamism and creativity of the marketplace to impact the public good. Our students, our broader community, are听uniquely committed to these principles.鈥
